#23 Is this really the end? or just the beginning...

omg! this learning 2.0 has been absolutely amazing and definitely eye opening i've learnt so many things i had no idea even existed. i'm relatively young person and i should have known about these things and now thanks to this program i do so snaps to all who were involved in bringing it to all of us.
my favourite things about learning 2.0 was definitely learning about librarything, love it i add to it every time i finish what i'm reading which reminds me i have to add the choice by nicholas sparks to my catalogue- such a beautiful book took me 2 days to finish it.
anyway where as i oh thats right i also loved bloglines, podcasts (those guys on mugglecast are nuts and sometimes they seem to get a little off topic but its all good) the image generators were definitely off the hizzy.

also just wanted to mention i was watching so you think you can dance series final and they mentioned a website call jibjab.com where you download your photo and photos of your friends and they make it into funny videos. so check it out its really funny.

okay again i've waffled on but its so easy too when you get on a roll. i also want to just say that since i've learnt about blogging i'm a little addicted and i think i will continue using my blog even though the learning 2.0 is finished, now i can go bore the rest of the known universe with my ramblings.

i think i've pretty much summed up everything so i think its time for me to get back to whatever i was doing before i can't remember but i'm sure i'll find something else to do.

oh and thanks jen for letting me to take part in this learning thing.

okay i'm going for real now.

#22 Audiobooks (or "The end is in sight")

the world ebook fair site was very interesting there are so many titles, i downloaded the travelling musicians by The Brothers Grimm (what a odd little story). anyway the site was easy enough to navigate. i know alot of people love audio books and its easy to just download and listen but i still love the old fashion book.

okay thats all from me on this topic.

#21 Podcasts, Smodcasts

originally when i got up this morning i was going to work on my story that i have been working on for the past million years okay maybe 4 or 5 but it sure feels like a million seeing as how i keep changing my mind about how i want it to go. anyway i didn't end up working on it all so i decided i should continue on with week 9's activities and i must say podcasts rock.
i subscribed to a few a comic podcast where the guys sound like chipmunks (not sure if this was intentional or not), i also subscribed to a harry potter one called mugglecast( i know you must be thinking this girl is obviously a bit harry potter mad seeing how this is another thing to do with harry potter i've mentioned on my blog, well you would be right.)
there were also a couple of other ones that interested me that were about writing.
i am sure podcasts could be used in a big way in libraries, it could be used as another way to advertise things like storytimes, author visits(we could if we were really clever have a small interview or something with an author and put it on our site), some clever little possums could do book reviews, or recommended reading. podcasts could be used to promote a lot of things in a different way.

okay i think i've waffled on long enough and maybe i will find the time in my busy schedule to write at least one chapter of my story and try and complete my next assignment for my writing course(i think it may be a bit late.)

okay later gators.

#20.5 You too can Youtube revisited

okay i had another look on youtube and there are so many get videos there were a couple really cute and funny happy feet ones on there- one was gangsta gangsta happy feet where some tricksy little hobbit makes it look like the penguins are singing and dancing to a rap song. so cute.
the one i really like though was one that my cousin caitlin showed me a while ago.
its a harry potter one that is very funny but be warned it kind of gets stuck in your head.

#20 You too can YouTube

youtube looks good but i can't get any sound on the computer at work so i might try this exercise again at home and have a better look at youtube and post a video on my blog that i like.
so cheerio for now.

#19 Discovering web 2.0 tools

okay i found this site in fun stuff called one sentence and i thought it was really cute. you tell a story about in anything in one sentence. i really liked how easy it was to use i don't know it has any use in a library setting unless patrons want to do a book review in one sentence but anyway.

http://www.onesentence.org/

check it out for yourself.

#18 Web based apps: They're not just for desktops

i had a look at Zoho Writer and it look really cool. you can add all sorts of things like little emotion face things. you can put the document straight on your blog or whatever it is fantastic.
i'll definitely have to use this zoho thing a bit more.
